Lana & Chris // Engagement

Engagements are so exciting!

When Lana contacted me to ask if I would take their photos I knew I wanted their session to be special.

Knowing her fiancé, Chris, and that fact that he LOVES to fish, the first thing that came to my mind were: lake & boat. So, I have to admit I was pretty excited when I asked Lana if they had a location in mind for their session and she said, "The lake!"

Luckily, we were able to work it out to where I could do their session on a weekend I had to come home. But, I was a little bummed when the 10 day forecast came out & it predicted rain for the entire weekend. I checked the forecast every day & said a few prayers, but as of Friday night there was still a pretty good chance it was going to rain... especially right during our session. Saturday came & of course it rained on a off most of the day, but we figured we could still give it a try since I wouldn't have another opportunity to do another session until late June.

We met at Marsh Branch. It was cloudy, but the rain was holding off, so we set out on the boat.  And wouldn't you know, about 45 minutes into their session the sun decided to come out & I'm oh-so-happy it did. Some photographers would disagree, but for me, there's nothing I love more than sunshine in my photos.

I MEAN I REALLY LOVE SUNSHINE, IT'S THE GREATEST.

So, without further ado, here a few of my favorite shots from their session.

CONGRATULATIONS, LANA & CHRIS!

Hacker Family

This session was fun.

I love being with families that are full of love, which is one reason I love being around this family. The other reason is that they are hilarious & they keep me smiling.

Just see why for yourself....

Zach + Hannah // Prom 2015

This past week my Mom called me for a favor. She wanted to me come in for the weekend & help her take some prom pictures, so I did.

But, when I started taking them I couldn't stop & this is the result.... 70 pictures for a preview.

I may have went a little overboard, but these two sweethearts are just too cute, so I'm saying it's okay.....

Here's to dancing the night away.
